Images of America - Amherst

 

 

The Amherst Historical Society is proud to announce the release of Images of America – Amherst published by Arcadia Publishing, America’s leading publisher of local and regional history.  The book connects current and former residents of Amherst to their hometown with historical images and captions.  The book was written by Donna M. DeBlasio and Martha I. Pallante on behalf of the Amherst Historical Society.

Chapel and Hall Rentals

Looking for the perfect place for an intimate wedding, reception and rehearsal dinner?  Looking for the perfect place for a special event or business meeting?  Call us to host your event at the Amherst Sandstone Village.

We have available St. George Chapel that accommodates approximately 60 guests.  If you are in need of a minister the Rev. Richard G. Kresila and Rev. Mrs. Gillian Kresila of Elyria Wedding Minister can perform the ceremony.  The Grange Hall is the perfect place to have a party.  There is a fully equipped kitchen and an area that will seat 60-90 people.  Arrangements can be made to have the other buildings open for your guests to have a private tour of our Amherst Sandstone Village.  Contact Carol Gray for disc jockey services for your event by emailing her at c5gray@oh.rr.com and for Mac Buddies contact Carol at c5gray@mac.com

After your wedding and reception make plans to spend your wedding night at the 5 Corners Bed and Breakfast located directly behind the Amherst City Hall.
