Historic Buildings
We are open 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and are closed during all holidays. The Quigley Museum is open Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon and every Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. during the months of May to the 1st Sunday in December. The Sandstone Museum Center is open every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. during the months of May through September. Tours of the Quigley house and/or Sandstone Museum Center outside of this time frame can be arranged. Please call 988-7255 |
Harris Dute House:
A
two-story 1840’s house is a beautiful example of Greek revival
architecture, and bears the surnames of the two families who inhabited
it for the greatest amount of time.
Volunteers and hired contractors completed reconstruction and
restoration of the house in 2001.
Because of their efforts, visitors can now enjoy lovely rooms
representing the style of the 1840’s to the 1880’s. . |
