35th Annual
2008 “Old-Time Jamboree” Festival Friend of the Jamboree: This event is sponsored by The Amherst Historical Society (AHS). It is our chief fundraising source for our ongoing historical society’s operations. This year, the event is planned and sponsored for the weekend of July 11, 12 and 13. If you are unfamiliar with this event, it is an outdoors, family-oriented festival held in historic downtown Amherst, Ohio. Location for this event will be in the City parking lot on Park Avenue. Food, drink, games, historical activities, crafts, children’s games and contests, a parade, and live musical entertainment make up this popular and growing annual festival. We draw a crowd of approximately 20,000 people each year. It is a great moneymaking opportunity for you or your organization. Saturday is traditionally the day for family events made up of games, contests, and entertainment. As the day progresses, entertainment caters to a more adult audience. Sunday features a parade, continuing with live entertainment until our 7:00 p.m. closing. Included on this website is a Vender Application packet for this wonderful event-filled week end. PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE PACKET AS IT CONTAINS ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW. Please feel free to contact The Amherst Historical Society at 440-988-7255 if you have any questions or comments. If you and/or your group would be interested in participating at this year’s festival, please return your completed document(s) by May 15, 2008 to the AHS offices. We hope to see you at this year’s Jamboree! Jamboree Chairman: Kathy Litkovitz John S. Dietrich Amherst Jamboree Forms... |
